About

An Embassy is an outpost of another nation or Kingdom. It is essentially a small part of a foreign land placed in an alien enviroment to represent their Sovereign. The Church is an Embassy on planet earth representing the views of the King of the universe. These views are found in the Bible and are binding on every inhabitant of this world. This Embassy is also tasked with reporting back to the King the needs of the people we come into contact with. We are an Embassy of Prayer.

    Nicely put, Glenn.

So you’re an Aussie? Where do you live there?

  2. ian vincent says:

That’s where Aunty Jack hails from.

I’ve been there, yes, beautiful beaches.

    I stayed once in Dapto.

How is your fellowship going there?

  3. Yes, Aunty Jack, our one claim to fame.

As for the felowship; I was a “Pastor” for many years but now I am one of the ‘unchurched’ church. We meet with others for prayer and studying the scriptures etc but unfortunately the churches in Wollongong are not in a good condition. Lots of prosperity, church growth and ecumenical influences. I know there is always a remnant and we are praying to be connected with more of them. Had a look around your web site this AM and think I’ll link to it if that’s OK. Good stuff.

I’m rejoicing to hear that, brother.

You are BEING the church, eh, regardless of whether others recognize what God is doing in you as being a legitimate “church”.

We face the same thing here in India, but we know that is the normal state of affairs, and has been for 2000 years, and will be till Jesus comes.

We belong to a small group of disciples here, and we are one in Jesus, and our fellowship is sweet and always uplifting, and for the better. We have tried and do try to obey the pattern showed in 1 Cor. 14 concerning how meetings should function.

We do continue to seek the Father concerning His testimony thru us, that Jesus name will be glorified in His church where we are at, and that He will add to His church such that should be saved.

Pls do link to my blog, and i will do the same.

Something about this little exchange between a couple of guys facinates me. So this would be yet another point on the globe where, recently de-churched, a brother contemplates starting a home church. The government has bought out the avalible institutional version and we all seem to be yearning for the real life in Christ. How are you faring?

  6. Hi Steve,

My wife and I have had some moments of heartbreak since turning from institutional churchianity. It wasn’t really ever our desire to abandon the organised church; just to see God’s word honoured and taught. Friends we’ve known for years rejected and abandoned us and we were mocked from pulpits in our town but the knowledge that we are simply wanting to see Christ and His word exalted and the fellowship with Him and other like minded souls is sweet. In my opinion, house churches are open to all the errors of institutonal churches. Ambition and false teaching and the building of mens kingdoms can happen in a house church as easily as anywhere and for what it’s worth I feel the crucial issue is to return to the Biblical model. In the book of Acts, it says the believers were devoted to the Apostles teaching(the Scriptures) the fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. God’s method is simple and effective. Men love to complicate things for some reason.
Thanks for popping by and bless you in your service to Him.

Love between the brothers and sisters is really just solid friendships, and even more than “just” friends, we ARE brothers and sisters.

How do friends do things together? Bcos they love each other then they naturally want to be together.

Jesus buiilds by friendships. First 2 friends, then another and so on.

One thing that the IC can’t do is to live together as true equals. There is always a power-play. And this is disrespectful, and it turns thinking people away.

True, brother. The place doesn’t change the man. A proud man will be just as proud at home as he is in the church building.

Movements are fickle things. It seems the devil watches for true movements of the Spirit and instantly raises up a clever counterfeit to it. I’ve been noting this mimicry over the years. Whether it be house church or the apostolic or prophetic.

  9. Thanks Ian for your insights. The counterfeits of satan are an obvious strategy he has employed through the ages. He presents a counterfeit truth devoid of truth. Thank God He has people throughout the globe who remain loyal to the Holy simplicity of the gospel.

Sorry to hear about your experience, Mr. Christopherson. Church can be both spiritually dangerous and emotionally wounding….I’ve known not much else since early childhood. However, thankfully, the sins of the church have driven me deeper into Christ and to seek help for my wounds (ancestral, parents and church and my own self-inflicted wounds from sinful choices and attitudes).

The Lord is faithful and true.

  11. Thanks for commenting Sybil.
I am actually very thankful to God for opening my eyes to the subtle deceptions in churchianity and I am glad to hear that God is healing and restoring you to. He is indeed faithful and true.
    Blessings sister

It is time for you and all Christians to sever their unholy alliance with Apostate Rick Warren and publicly renounce him, and come out from among them!

You have to wonder after Rick Warren gives Tony Blair his Global Peace Plan Prize, who’s next? Gaddafi?

Blair is a globalist and has converted to Roman Catholicism…totally apostate…Hybels has no business promoting him, but should be marking him.
